Statement as of 03:49 AKST 4. prosinec 2008 ... Winter Weather Advisory in effect until noon akst today... The National Weather Service in Juneau has issued a Winter Weather Advisory... which is in effect until noon akst today. A weather front will move over the northern Alaska Panhandle producing snow fall amounts of 3 to 5 inches through noon. Snow will then mix with rain as temperatures rise above freezing this afternoon. A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow... sleet... or freezing rain will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for slippery roads and limited visibilities... and use caution while driving. This statement will be updated by noon akst Thu or sooner if conditions warrant.
