Tiw's-Day 6 Mar.
78 in the forecast this afternoon. See the National Weather Service Discussion for more infomation.
35 mph windgusts may move some trucks sideways. We pray for headon collisions, those of us who think gashog rumbleboxes and brainless wannabe cowboy drivers need some prayers.

1225 PM CST WED MAR 7 2012

A COLD FRONT WILL MOVE INTO THE REGION FROM THE NORTHWEST ON THURSDAY. ABUNDANT GULF AND PACIFIC MOISTURE WILL BE AVAILABLE ACROSS THE REGION TO FOCUS EXCESSIVE HEAVY RAINFALL ACROSS THE REGION

SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS WITH LARGE HAIL AND STRONG AND POSSIBLY DAMAGING WINDS WILL BE AFFECTING THE REGION THURSDAY AFTERNOON AND OVERNIGHT ALONG AND AHEAD OF A COLD FRONT.

THIS FRONTAL BOUNDARY WILL STALL OVER THE SOUTHERN FRINGES OF THE FOUR STATE REGION FRIDAY BEFORE RETURNING BACK NORTH OVER THE AREA AS A WARM FRONT FRIDAY NIGHT INTO SATURDAY. ANOTHER ROUND OF HEAVY PRECIPITATION IS LIKELY SATURDAY THROUGH SUNDAY WITH FLOODING A DISTINCT POSSIBILITY.

325 AM CST WED MAR 7 2012

IT APPEARS THE RAIN WILL END FROM WEST TO EAST DURING THE DAY MONDAY BUT NOT BEFORE SOME IMPRESSIVE TOTALS COULD BE FELT ACROSS OUR ENTIRE REGION. TOTAL RAINFALL ACCUMULATION THROUGH MONDAY COULD APPROACH
4-8 INCHES WITH ISOLATED HIGHER AMOUNTS. BEST GUESS AT THIS TIME OF
JUST WHERE THE HEAVIEST AXIS OF RAIN WILL BE IS ACROSS NE TX/SE OK/SW AR AND EXTREME NW LA. ALL THIS IS HIGHLY DEPENDENT ON JUST WHERE THE SFC BOUNDARY STALLS SATURDAY INTO SUNDAY.

You've been warned.

Thor's Day 7:30 AM I don't see the second cold front supposedly moving south to start the heavy rains this afternoon. There are severe storms in two bands just north of here. Both are moving SW to NE. One moves over Heavener. The other moves over OKC (oklahoma city for the abbrev deficient). So MAYBE that is the second cold front. Here, the rain fell slow starting at 11pm yesterday? Wedneday? Down on all the roofs of uncertaintly? With their truck beds wet this morning and hopefully rusting more. "It's better to burn out than it is to rust. Mymy Heyhey" So anyway..right now 2 thunderstorms pointing in my direction— They were never taught by their Mother "it's not polite to point" —are about to cause some havoc[if they ever get here. lots of times before i watched this very same scenario onda wundermap with 5 min ETA of the tornado? thunderstorms? rain storm? whatever? and it was like something(or better, someone) wiped the sky clean. it was an astonishing thing to have such great technology to watch powerful storms approach and then go hide out in the cellar only the realize it was all just a dream.]

2:30pm Those two thunderstorms were mirages, for all the intensity displayed in the doppler doppleganger radar, just a small amount of rain, no thunder or lightning and no rotating thunderstorms period! It has rained 0.9 inches since 11pm last night, hardly a heavy rain event. so tell me Mr. Weatherman? when is the heavy rain event coming to SE Oklahoma? Need a better radar ? Take an ultrasound picture of the sky and you might get a forecast on the right way.

They answered me:

This Afternoon: Showers and thunderstorms. Some of the storms could be severe and produce heavy rainfall. High near 73. East wind around 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%.

Tonight: Showers and thunderstorms. Some of the storms could be severe and produce heavy rainfall. Low around 44. Northeast wind around 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%.

So that's all settled except for, Why did I believe this forecast 2 days ago and plan on staying home??

Finally to close off this frenetic forecasting?

We have quite a discrepancy in forecastings for tonight.

WU Best Forecast?
Friday Night: Mostly cloudy in the evening, then partly cloudy. Low of 46 43° F now. Winds from the East at 5-10 mph. Chance of rain 20%

The Weather Underground staff do change their forecasts often.

NWS
Tonight: Partly cloudy, with a low around 36°. East wind between 5 and 10 mph.

No, there were no omissions. Maybe, if the temp slips a little lower than 36, and/or a windchill of 30 or so exists we might see Princess Glaciera again!
